"I know that you want to be Canadian"
you all know i've been a reluctant Canuck lately, but today Ian posted this on my wall and i had to grin:

too awesome for words.
and... that's it. still no one's called about the job. work at Williams 11-4 tomorrow. not enthused, but at least it's money! cut up some more fabric today for those receiving blankets (don't ask) and dug up my old Ikea hanging photo frames. i set them up with my stunning Shakespeare cards (the ones i bought at the Globe) and am loving it. chatted to Chris for a bit, who worked at some warehouse today. he'll be doing that for the next little while, before hopefully(!) doing some work in a hotel somewhere. if there's anywhere lacking in jobs, it's Ottery St Mary, Devon. might watch a Miss Marple with Mom and Dad tonight, or run along and do my own thing, like watching So You Think You Can Dance, yay. the thing about this season is, while the dancing is more or less flawless, the dancers are still lacking in character, in personality. i'm not attached to anyone. maybe tonight will remedy that.

I had this song stuck in my head last week, it was complete death D:

regarding your last post where you mentioned the Thai restaurant, did they mention what kind of help they were looking for? I know that if the work entails any kitchen stuff (dishes, cleaning, working at all back there) restaurants are really stingy about hiring "over qualified" people because they're afraid they'll expect/demand more from the establishment.

I know a few of my friends in CMST don't mention a thing about university on their resume too, because especially in Hamilton where the market is flooded with students, some retail/restaurant places are weird about hiring us.

you should try babysitting if you know anyone, thats all I'm doing right now, but it's a nearly everyday thing. I sit for $10 an hour and apparently I'm the cheapest on the block :P

The Thai were hiring for all positions, which is why it mystifies me. I know already to be wary about university, but I can't mention the exchange without mentioning uni, you know? And the exchange has added a lot to my skill base. As for babysitting - I don't know anyone with kids anymore. I've got 19hrs over the next few days with Williams, but I'm going to need more... I don't know!
